CBD offers a way to calm your nerves and soothe your mind throughout the day and night, allowing you to focus on being your best self. That mindset is what drove Elevated Wellness to release an impressive lineup of both CBD and Delta-8 products, four of which we’ll be reviewing today! Elevated Wellness offers products that serve specific purposes: pain relief, sleep aid, ultimate relaxation, and more. The products we’ll be reviewing today are unique to the industry in that they allow the user to choose how CBD can elevate their wellness to the fullest. In this article, we’ll review five of Elevated Wellness’s best selling products and focus on what makes this company so successful. We’ll start with the company’s general information, such as hemp information, product packaging, and lab results, and then move onto the actual CBD and Delta-8 THC product reviews. Let’s begin!
Lab Testing
Each of Elevated Wellness’s products are lab tested, but the results are only available on the actual product via a QR code. There are no uploaded PDFs, links, or web pages available on the company website for viewing before you buy. This was a little strange, since most companies are only too happy to provide that information on the website. But I can understand wanting to reward trusting customers with those results instead of letting random people view the results online for free. Lab testing is expensive and time-consuming, so perhaps the company was focused on giving that information to actual customers.
Hemp Information
Elevated Wellness only uses hemp extracts that contain high-content CBD. The company uses a proprietary process to create one of the most pure forms of all CBD, including CBD-rich broad Spectrum, full spectrum, and CBD isolate. The company focuses on the increased efficacy of their products through the Entourage Effect, which shows greater effects when multiple cannabinoids of the hemp plant are consumed together over time. Elevated Wellness’s products are solely available in doctor’s offices, participating brick-and-mortar franchises, and the online store. Each of their products contain less than 0.3% THC, making them legal for resale throughout the United States.
Product Packaging
The Focus CBD Oil came packaged in a bright yellow cardboard box with bold black lettering on both the packaging and the product label. The actual bottle came as a tinted blue glass with a bright yellow label. I loved the pie chart on the front that showed the different ingredients and their respective percentages. The label showed the manufacturing information, disclaimers, instructions prior to use, and suggested directions for using the product, and supplement facts. Since this is a Lemon OG Kush – hybrid, the full terpenes list is available to view here. The ingredient list is as follows: Broad Extract: Premium Ultra Broad Spectrum Distillate: CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC, CBDV + Terpene Blend, Lipids, Flavonoids & Phenols, Full Extract: Premium Ultra Raw Full Spectrum Distillate: CBD, THC, CBG, CBN, CBC, CBDV + Natural Terpenes, Lipids, Phenols & other Phytocannabinoids, Organic and Kosher Terpene Blend (Focus – Lemon OG Kush – Hybrid), Legal Limit of Delta-9 THC (<0.3%) in Full Spectrum Option, and Premium Grade Organic MCT Oil. This particular oil goes for $60, with no option for subscriptions or discounts for multiple purchases.
Sleep Aid came packaged in a dark blue cardboard box with white lettering. A silver sliver of the moon was displayed, along with the faint sparkle of stars in the sky. The bottle was a dark-blue tinted bottle with a calming blue label with white lettering. Just like the Focus CBD Oil, both the packaging and the labled showed the required disclaimers, manufacturing information, instructions to follow before using, directions for actual use, and supplement facts. The ingredients list is much shorter than any of the other products: Hemp Extract CBD Isolate, Premium Grade Organic MCT Oil (Medium Chain Triglycerides), PCCA natural flavoring (Mint Extract), and Premium Grade Melatonin. The Sleep Aid is listed at $80 and does not offer discounts for repeat or multiple purchase.
The Delta-8 Hemp Oil came solely in a blue-tinted glass bottle. The label was black with silver letting, displaying the company information, QR code on the front, and amount of Delta-8 THC per bottle (1500mg). The left side of the label showed information on hemp extract, as well as warnings and THC content (less than 0.3%). The right side of the label displayed directions on how to use, storage instructions, and supplement facts. The tincture is made with a small percentage of the same terpenes in the Focus tincture, as well as a minor quantity of other cannabinoids (CBN, Delta-6A/10A and other useful phytocannabinoids), and organic MCT oil. The tincture goes for $70 on the company website, with no option for discounts via multiple or repeat purchases.
The Pain Cream came in a large white box that displayed a man running in full sprint, dead center of the packaging. The box and tube displayed the same information, including warnings, suggested usage, directions on how to use, and manufacturing information. The active ingredients list contained the following: Broad Spectrum CBD-Rich Hemp Extract (CBD, CBG, CBC, CBN, CBDV) 400mg/50g, Menthol – 5%, Camphor – 3%, Proprietary Lipomatrix Base, Organic Phospholipids, and Organic Calendula Oil. There was a QR code to scan for the lab results, and the entire packaging was very professional and clean. The product is listed for $65 and does not have an option to subscribe for monthly shipments or discounts for multiple purchases at once.
The Delta-8 THC Relax blend came in a 1mL syringe in a see-through pouch. The front of the pouch was a solid black color, with a single circular sticker that showed the company name, name of the product, and the amount of product (1 gram/966MG) within the syringe. There was a single circular sticker on the clear back of the packaging that showed the QR code for the lab test results, a barcode, and manufacturing information. There were no listed ingredients or recommended use, which is what had me struggling on how to use this product. Since I’m not entirely sure which product this correlates to on the company website, I will refrain from adding a price until I hear back from the company. Now that we’ve properly gone over the company information, pricing, and appearance, it’s time to check out the actual products. Let’s begin, starting with the CBD Pain Cream!
I decided to test out this product after an intense gym session. I was experiencing severe pain in my biceps from lifting too heavy on one of my first days back in the gym after several months (thanks to Covid-19). I pulled off the product’s cap and observed the small spout that was shaped much like a shaving cream canister tip. I tried shaking the can to see if anything rattled or settled, but realized there was no need. I lightly pressed on the small spout and observed that the lotion was white with a luxurious texture. I spread the cream over my sore muscles and noted that the smell of menthol was powerfully strong. I massaged the lotion into my skin and realized while it did dry clear, there was a light sheen that was slightly greasy to the touch. The strong icy sensation was wildly pleasant on my aching muscles and it absorbed quickly, but left a strong menthol scent in its wake. The scent stung my eyes and the tingling from the menthol lasted for several minutes. I did feel like it helped soothe the pain in my arms, but my soreness was too great for even the CBD to fully eradicate. This cream helps for sore muscles, but wasn’t effective in eliminating the pain completely.
The menthol made me very aware of my arm for the next few minutes, and it fluctuated from being overwhelmingly strong (almost felt like my arm was icing over) to wonderfully soothing (like I could feel my arm regaining its normal functions) thanks to the menthol. It didn’t eliminate the pain when I extended my arm but it greatly soothed the painful soreness. However, my biggest issue with this product was a few hours after I’d applied it. The dried menthol and hemp combined made me smell awful. I raised my arms to get a whiff of my bicep and was met with the scent of unwashed B/O combined with moldy socks. I went to wash the cream off my skin to eliminate the odor, which lingered on my skin even after being washed off. I was not prepared to smell like that after using the body cream, and would have liked to smell a more calming aroma like lavender or vanilla. Overall, this was a great product that did help soothe my sore muscles, but the scent after an hour was a huge turnoff.
The Delta-8 THC hemp oil was one of the more difficult products I’ve used. Unlike other Delta-8 THC hemp oils, this product had an extremely delayed reaction time that lasted all the way until the next morning. Don’t get me wrong; it was a fantastic high that left me euphoric and happy and all the things you want from a mind and body high. But there was no exact time to pinpoint when the effects started and ended. I took the product in the evening on three separate occasions. The first time was at 10:45PM, another at 9:30PM, and a third time at 10 PM. Each time I hoped that I could pinpoint an exact time frame when the high began, but met the same results. I would go to sleep feeling tired, and wake up with a slight frontal headache, almost like a hangover. The morning high had me feeling very relaxed and a little dizzy. I felt slight pressure behind my eyes and my eyelids felt heavy. I noted that my jaw and fingertips tingled and my speech was slightly slurred. My eyes were slightly red, but I was still able to focus and perform my daily activities. The high wore off after about an hour and a half of waking. I would have preferred to enjoy the high before going to sleep, not after waking up. My advice for anyone using this product is to allow at least 3 hours to feel the effects of this product, as I waited upwards of 3 hours and felt slightly buzzed at the most. I only felt the effects after waking up, almost eight hours after I had taken the initial dosage. Definitely be careful when you take this hemp oil, as the time it takes for the Delta-8 THC to kick in may be much longer than is traditionally expected and the effects may linger even after you wake up.
This CBD Oil is touted as an effective to focus your thoughts and power through your day, which is something that every adult needs. I unscrewed the cap, easily breaking the childproof seal, and brought the bottle close to my nose. I detected a warm lemon scent mingled with hemp that was quite soothing and relaxing. The dropper bottle was graduated in gray lettering, and noticed that the tincture was completely clear. I filled up the tincture to the recommended 1mL mark and released the dropper contents under my tongue. The tincture was very easy to hold under my tongue for the suggested 45 seconds. Once the recommended time had passed, I swirled the oil around in my mouth before swallowing. There was a strong lemon and hemp flavor that intensified even after I swallowed. The aftertaste was faintly bitter, but the lemon flavor was delicious and the hemp flavor wasn’t overpowering. I’ve sometimes felt the need to rinse my mouth after a particularly strong aftertaste, but the combined flavor of the lemon and hemp was wonderful and I allowed the aftertaste to gradually fade away naturally. Whether it be the power of suggestion or the tincture actually working quickly, I found myself with a renewed focus and felt encouraged to finish the project I was working on. Coincidence or not, I highly enjoyed this tincture and appreciated the lightness of the hemp flavor in spite of the high CBD content.
I easily broke the plastic seal by firmly twisting the dropper bottle open and held the bottle to my nose. I detected a deliciously pleasant mint scent and was instantly reminded of holiday peppermints. However, my delight turned into curiosity, as I noticed the oil was very milky. I wasn’t quite sure if that was normal, but chalked it up to the inclusion of melanin in the oil. The instructions emphasize shaking well before using, so perhaps the ingredients had separated, resulting in an opaque color to the Sleep Aid. I released the graduated dropper’s contents under my tongue and immediately felt a delightful cooling sensation that intensified slightly with every passing second. The hemp oil was easy to hold under my tongue for several seconds, and I swished the oil around in my mouth before swallowing. Upon swallowing, I felt a sharp burning sensation, but that faded as quickly as it had come. There was a refreshing minty aftertaste that remained for several minutes, similar to how I feel after brushing my teeth. There was no sweetness or unpleasant hemp flavor, and the hemp oil smelled and tasted like a candy cane without the sweetness. After about half an hour, I began to feel drowsy and yearn for sleep. This may have been the power of suggestion, but it was surprising that very soon after I took the tincture, I became sleepy. Overall, I was very pleased with the minty flavor and appreciated the absence of any hemp flavor in the hemp oil. This product is recommended for use just before bedtime to help relax your mind and allow you to drift off into blissful slumber.
Although this product is displayed on the website as a small tin (much like a sample CBD salve tin), I received a 1mL syringe style in a see-through pouch. This was an extremely strange product to use because at first, I thought it was a tincture that had an exact 1mL measured in a syringe. I assumed it was meant to be released under the tongue, just as a smaller sample size. However, I began to realize my assumption was wrong as soon as I wrestled the stopper off the syringe tip. A very sticky substance bubbled out of the syringe tip, and when I tried to release the syringe contents under my tongue, nothing came out! I ended up swiping the viscous substance onto my finger tip and placing it directly onto my tongue. I accidentally got some of the sticky substance on my lip, and noted that the stickiness would not go away. I tried firmly rubbing my lip, rinsing it with water, and wiping a paper towel across, all to no avail. The sticky substance remained on my lip and my fingers and finally became less sticky over time. I ended up using a Google search on how to properly use the product, but still did not have a clear answer. I have reached out to Elevated Wellness on how to correctly use this strange product and will report back once I have an update.
Elevated Wellness has a unique approach to their products and definitely strayed from the normal CBD and Delta-8 THC products with almost every single Elevated Wellness product that I tried. The CBD oils were the easiest to use, but the Delta-8 THC products were extremely frustrating, as the tincture took ages to kick in and the strange syringe left me wondering how to use it. While the Delta-8 THC high did eventually begin, the guesswork on when the effects would kick in or if I was using them correctly really soured my view of these products. The Pain Cream didn’t work as well as I had hoped on my extremely sore muscles and left an unpleasant scent after some time that was downright embarrassing to smell. The company website was very difficult to navigate, as there was no search button (you have to select a category before finding the proper product), no discounts for repeat purchases, and no listed lab results. There was no option to leave a review for the purchased product and the blog section was a list of five questions with short bullet points, so there was something to be desired. I realize that this company is more franchise-focused, allowing the franchise owner to provide necessary information to both current and future customers, but as a website, there were some things lacking that I would have appreciated. I try my hardest to find both the pros and cons of a product, but this was an exhausting review that I do wish had less frustration and more relaxation. But since Delta-8 THC and CBD react differently with different users, your experience may be much more pleasant and simple.
